Kalispell, Montana

Spence has been working for apx for 3 summers now and anyone who does this job knows how crucial a little getaway is after the summer is over. It was a busy busy summer! Anyway for the last 3 years we have made a little trip to kalispell after spence was done working. We stayed with my parents in Whitefish and had a great time! I spent way too much money shopping but other than that it was time well spent!

this is me and soph on the top of logans pass.. they were having a ton of construction so we were stopped at the top for about 15 min. we took advantage of that time and took a few pics. didn't turn out so well. i was holding onto sophie soooo tight.. it was a long long drop behind me!

this railway track was RIGHT outside my parents trailer. it was a long few nights! sophie slept right through it all.... i, on the other hand woke up in a panic every single time the train went by. everytime i was sure that it was going to de-rail. anyone who knows me knows i WOULD think that!

A week in Red Deer

When they told us that the last week of the summer we would be going to Red Deer for the guys to sell I have to admit I was less than impressed. A week in a hotel with no car in Red Deer did not sound like my idea of fun!! But I was pleasantly suprised. We had a blast! All of APX was on one floor so we just kept our doors open all day and the kids had soo much fun running up and down the halls. We went swimming every day after the continental breakfasts and we were right across the street from a mall so we would push the kids strollers over there and hang out when we got bored. It was a great way to end the summer.

We ate really bad that week as you can see. I am on such a healthy kick right now due to that week of scandelous food.

We got this ghetto playpen from the front desk. The girls all loved cramming in there. They were eating honey comb. I had to empty the whole thing out before putting Soph to bed. It was full of honeycomb.

15 times!

Spence and I have been married 5 years and in that time we have moved 15 times.. got married, moved to Cardston for the summer, moved to Lethbridge for the fall, then Phoenix,back to Cardston, then Rexburg, back to Cardston for the summer, back to rexburg, moved to a different apt in Rexburg, to Indianapolis, back to Rexburg, home to Cardston for a semester off to have Sophie, off to Philadelphia, to Lethbridge, to Indianapolis, then to Edmonton. I am now packing up for the 16th time!! HIDEOUS! Although I am becoming quite an expert in packing it does not change my hatred for it. Anyway the one good thing is that we going home in a week in a half.. This going away every summer is getting a little old but it is also kind of a fun adventure. It would be a whole lot more fun if I could hire someone to our packing and moving.
So I am totally seeing all the things that I do and didn't realize come through Sophie. She is such a little mimicker. I have realized that I say "ummm" alot because everything she says she has to add in an "ummm" in there. I also realized that I tilt my head back when I laugh, slap my knee, touch my chin while I am concentrating, and say "cute, yep, gosh and gee" a lot too. She always tells me after I get dressed "oh mom, SO CUTE". It is hilarious but i know exactly where she is learning it from.

Butterflies in my tummy!!

The past few days I have been feeling a little fluttering going on in my tummy. I am only 16 weeks so I am feeling it alot earlier than I did with Sophie. I guess I shouldnt be suprised. Everything about this pregnancy has been sooo much different.... boy?? hmmm. I guess we'll see! Anyway I am trying to enjoy this little bubbly feeling inside of me because I remember how it feels at the very end and it can be not so enjoyable when you are being kicked in the ribs all night.
Anyway we are back in Edmonton!! Here for a few weeks and then we are done!! I am so looking forward to being back in Lethbridge... ALL 3 of us!! I thought I would post some pics of what happened on our overly extended trip home.

Sophie fell in love.. with another Briggs.. Linds your gonna have to break the news to your Briggs that she has two in her life now! We went into dinner at the silk purse on Sunday night. They built a new facility in the old curling rink that is sooo beautiful! They have been doing dinner theatre there and it seems that everyone has been having there wedding receptions there. Anyway we went in on Sunday with some family friends and it was so hilarious to see sophie run after Briggs. I am gonna have to teach her to play hard to get. She can be so forward sometimes!

We went to the Cardston parade which was really great this year! sidenote: Sophie is in love with the Quinton girls!! she bawls when they leave. I pretty much didnt see Sophie when we went to the theatre. I am gonna have to have them over for many sleepovers in the fall. They are a great help. Sophie loves soup. She would eat for every meal. When she sees me grabbing a can she is so excited yelling, "yay soup yay soup!" she is getting quite good at eating it too!

I realize that the majority of these pictures Sophie has a dirty face. Sorry about that! She really isn't dirty all the time I promise. Anyway thanks everyone for the congratulations! I know I was kinda vague when I announced it. To answer your questions.. I am 16 weeks, due at the end of January. I don't know what it is yet but have an ultrasound scheduled for when we get back in a few weeks. I have been feeling good! Not great for a few weeks but I had a pretty nast pregnancy with Sophie and so this has been heaven. i haven't puked once so that is awesome. I didn't announce it for so long because I wanted to hear the heartbeat first. I am starting to show, I can't believe how much faster that happens when you have already had a baby. Yikes!

I'm still here...

This is so not me, but I am still in Cardston. I have been here just under a month and was only supposed to be here a week and a half. Poor Spence. He has just been so dang busy I knew that I would have just been going back to seeing him for a few hours a day and there was so many fun things going on here. I am going back in a week. I thought it would be fun to go to the parade and then I will go back to Edmonton and spend the rest of the summer there. Spence did come down for 2 days last week, which was awesome.

We have had fun going into Lethbridge to see my bestest friend, Kristi and her darling little girls. Sophie and Grace play really good together.. most of the time ...and I am in love with her brand new tiny little Kaia. She is such a little angel.

We have loved being here. We have enjoyed the shows at the Carriage House and have had so much fun with friends and family. Sophie has really enjoyed all the yard that my mom has and I have enjoyed just lounging on the porch while she runs around.

Oh ya I'm pregnant! 14 weeks along. Sophie will have a little brother or sister right after her 2nd birthday. Happy birthday Sophie!!
