Olive Garden and KARA!!

My dad just got back from a business trip to B.C and Spence, Sophie and I decided that we would tag along with my mom to Calgary to pick him up. Kara met us all at the Olive Garden. I was great to see her.... I miss her a lot, even though she is only 2 hours away we do not see eachother enough. It was so fun... and very delicious!!

She LOVED the breadsticks way too much
ooooooh i have the wickedest double chin but Kar looks way to cute to not post this pic
Everytime Kara did this face Sophie went NUTS. She loved it!
I think this is about breadstick #3
Also one other thing... Sophie choked today... Sad thing was it was a carrot which she definately should not have had. I was eating them and she got a hold of one and bit off the end of it with those sharp teeth and tried to swallow it down. It was the scariest thing ever. She didn't choke for long but it really traumatized her..... AND ME! I felt like the worst mom! I think that things happen for a reason and I think this happened so that I learn to watch her a lot closer. She is at a stage that she is always getting into some kind of mischief. Love her to death!!!

These two! They are so tight lately. I am beginning to feel a little left out. Jks. But seriously when Spence is in the room, no one else exists. She is fine with me until he gets home then when he walks in the door she is glued to him. She starts to giggle when she hears the door unlocking. She says, "Who's that?" Then when he walks in the door she says, "DADDY!!!" It is the darn cutest thing! It melts Spencer's heart. He can't do anything without her being right there next to him. She holds onto his pant leg when he is making something to eat or talking on the phone. It is hilarious! Spence is such a hands on dad too. It makes me so happy to see him down on her level playing with her and taking her down to her room to put her to sleep. He is great! I have a feeling this isn't just a phase!

Please no more pictures

I think Sophie might be getting a little tired of the constant, "Smile Sophie" she is getting. After snapping away for a few minutes Sophie tore her bow off her head and looked at me with this, "Please stop, I have had ENOUGH!" look. Poor dear. I would probably get tired of it too! Sorry Sophie, but I don't see me letting up anytime soon. Oh this was Valentines. I said that I would post pics of her in her little red sweater with a heart on it. So appropriate. Her daddy dressed her. So on the ball Spence!

Some new faves

what a dang delicious treat this is!! mmmm mmmm. spence, kimber and i just devoured this stuff and i must admit i am quite satisfied. these multigrain chips are way better than originals and way healthier.... as long as you don't eat the whole bag like we just did. i would highly recommend the dip.. not so healthy but delish!!

i took sophie swimming today at the ymca. that's where i work out and i can take sophie there for free. she had so much fun splashing around and kicking her feet. i think it will be a regular saturday thing. spence was installing all day today. he installed 6 systems today so he was gone the majority of the day. i am so grateful that he can install here in lethbridge for the winter and spring, it has helped so much!

one other thing... does anyone ever eat at joey's only seafood??? it is such a hidden gem i am not kiddin. i have been very impressed everytime i go there. i got salmon last time, a wrap the time before and today kimber and i went and i got a pork sandwich that was simply divine. man have i ever eaten scandelous today. whateva!

P.S... I love this movie!!!

Okay I loved the movie "P.S. I love you." So cute. More I love that my little sister, Kimber stepped up to the challenge of babysitting a three year old, 17 month old and a 14 month old. She is one brave girl. Our friends, Jake and Lindsey Bevans and Spence and I wanted to go out and my sister gladly babysat there 2 kids and Sophie. They were really good and when we walked in the door at 9:00 both Sophie and Briggs (the little ones) were in her arms asleep and J.D was laying on all the couch cushions on the floor watching Berenstien Bears. She is magic, I am convinced!! Born to be a mom. I also love the Jake and Spence went to SUCH a chick flick and hardly complained.... okay so they complained a little but they went so yay! Anyway we went to a great greek restaurant, Dyonisis and then to P.S. I love you. I cried through the whole movie. I am such a baby.

I haven't put the recent pics of Sophie onto my computer and so I thought I would dig up a "special" one. Really what is a post without a great pic! HA

Happy Valentines!!

It has been a really great Valentines Day!! This morning Spence got up with Sophie at 9:00 and fed her breakfast. I slept in! It was awesome. Anyway when I woke up Spence had Sophie all dressed and ready and they were just about to walk out the door. I asked him where he was going and Spence just said, "On a date!" Anyway I had the greatest time. I had a long shower and took my time getting ready for the day. Spence came home about at about noon with Sushi (my FAVE) for lunch, a dozen yellow roses, belgium chocolates, the "child of my heart" willow tree figurine I have been wanting and the sweetest card. He said that we weren't allowed to get eachother gifts this year so all I did was a little card. He spoils me all the time. It has been the greatest day. I have had a perma-grin on my face all day long. Sophie is asleep right now but I will post pics of her in her valentines outfit when she wakes up.

From piggies to pony

Well it might be a wispy one, and yes I do have to use 3 clips to keep it all back but Sophie has graduated from the piggy tails to the ponytail. I couldn't have been more thrilled when I put that little tiny pony in her hair. I laughing my head off after I put it in. She just seemed like such a big girl with it in. Anyway I really don't think I will do her hair like this alot. It fell out pretty quick but in my opinion it looked pretty darn cute. I think I prefer the piggies still though.

this is right after she was rocking out to alicia keys. it was soooo funny. this girl loves to dance.

Twist of Lime

I don't know what it is but Sophie has quite the pallett. We discovered that she liked lemons at Boston Pizza back before Christmas. I had a lemon in my water and she kept grabbing for it. I gave it to her to quite her down. I figured that she would hate it then I wouldn't have to worry about it but no. She sucked every last bit of juice out of that lemon. The other day I had limes and I was putting a wedge in my soda and thought I would let Sophie try it. She let out one sour face, then again, sucked all the juice out of it. Is that normal?? I don't think so. She would love me forever if I would let her eat plain ranch or plain ketchup for every meal and lemons and limes for snacks. So strange!

So tired

I am back on the blogging wagon. I missed a whole month because my camera was broke. Well turns out it wasn't the camera it was the memory card. Easy fix. Anyway I am almost embarresed to admit this but I slept for 10 and a half hours straight last night. I put Sophie to bed at 8:00 and I went to bed at 11:30 and Sophie slept till 10:00 this morning. Suprisingly I do not feel rested. I feel really tired. Too much sleep Iguess. Sophie is having a nap right now and it is taking everything in me to not go have a nap myself. Lazy Lazy me. I think the superbowl wore me out yesterday.

Supersize me

I always said I wouldn't be one of those moms....... I swore that Sophie would eat three balanced meals a day with 2 healthy snacks. You read the books but at some point you just gotta relax. We were shopping at the new Wal-Mart (which I love.. only 4 blocks from our house). Anyway Sophie was hungry and we were hungry so we thought we would hit up a little Ronalds. Sad as it is fries are one of her faves. I am going to try and be better. I promise it doesn't happen all the time. Anyway I swear that Sophie is going through terrible twos already. Is that possible? I gave her a fry and it seemed to be quite long so I broke it in two. Well obviously that was the wrong the wrong thing to do and she let me know it. She started bawling! She was reaching for her daddy (she was obviously ticked with me) and Spence being the softy he is snatched her right out of there. She was so mad at me and kept glaring at me and hugged and kissed Spence like crazy. It was actually quite cute but I am worried. If she has meltdowns like this now what is 2 gonna be like?? aaaaaahh! Don't get me wrong.. she is an incredibly good little girl and these tantrums are a very frequent occurance... anyway she is asleep right now and she has been so funny today. She has been giggling at everything and she has been so pleasant. Last night the concert was awesome. I loved it. He gave Kara 15 free tickets for the show in Calgary tommorow night and she has given them all away except 2. I am seriously tempted to go up and see him again....??

this is before she told me off
mmmmm nuggets

showing some daddy love

Here's a ball for baby

On Friday my Grandma and Grandpa Pack called and asked me if I wanted to meet them at the Cheesecake Cafe for lunch. Spence was at work and Sophie had just woken up from a 3 hour nap so I knew she would be really good for it. We had so much fun. When Sophie sees my grandma and grandpa she goes ballistic. She absoloutly loves them and hates saying goodbye. Anyway my grandma has always sang her "Here's a ball for baby" since she was a little little baby. She loves it so much and laughs and laughs and after my grandma is done Sophie will say, "Ball baby" and so my grandma sings it again.... and again.... and again. This seems to go on for quite sometime. I'm sure my grandma wonders why she started it in the first place. Here are some pics of her being entertained real good by G-Pack. The light coming through the windows is kinda annoying but oh well.

Just hangin with celebs.. no big deal.

Does anyone know who Willam Joseph is? If not you are missing out!! He is an incredible piano player from Arizona. He has toured with Josh Groben and Clay Aiken. My mom and sister saw him open for Josh Groben a few years ago and they became such huge fans. Anyway they have gone to a ton of his concerts in Calgary over the past few years and have gotten us all addicted to his music. He is LDS with 3 kids and a wife in Arizona and somehow the Carriage House Theatre managed to get him to come to Cardston to do a concert tonight. I have had my 2nd row seats since day 1 and I am so excited. But even more exciting!!! Spence and I got to go to a private dinner and concert at the Dal and Amy Zemps last night. Him and his violinist came and we ate dinner then he played for us in the Zemps living room. I still haven't quite come down off a high yet. It was so amazing! I am even more of fan now .. if that's even possible. Anyway look him up on youtube and you will be so jealous! Jks, but seriously go buy his C.D. You will not regret it!
