Sophie and Watson

So.... We always try to get Watson to look at Sophie and he usually won't and when he does he sometimes starts to get kinda sad.. I think that he gets a little annoyed of Sophie always grabbing at his face and nose. Anyway this week Watson has decided that he likes Sophie. They are so funny! We sat them on the floor and Watson was just giggling and getting so excited looking at Sophie. It was the cutest thing ever. I hope they grow up to be great friends!

So the other morning I was doing my makeup and Sophie was sitting there just staring at me so I started to put blush on her cheeks and nose and the tickling of the brush was making her giggle so much. It was so funny and even funnier was how cute she looks with blush on her face.

Sophie has finally learned to sit up on her own. She has realized that she has to flex her stomach muscles to keep herself sitting up. I had to take a bunch of pictures because she just looked like a different baby sittin' there all by herself. You could tell she was concentrating so hard to keep herself up. It was so cute!

So this funny hat was on sale at The Childrens Place for 99 cents. Spencer hated it but I thought it was so hilarious! It was worth the dollar to at least just get one picture of it!

So this week Sophie finally got her first tooth. She hasn't been sleeping very good and I was starting to get pretty discouraged.. and exhausted but then on Tuesday I spotted it and things have been alot better. Although today she was having a hard time going down for a nap. I tried and tried and I knew that she was tired but couldn't seem to get her to settle (sundays!!) Anyway finally I just took her into the living room and gave her to Spence and went in to clean the kitchen. When I got back 10 minutes later I went into the room and this is what I found. I don't know how he did it but he did. Daddy's touch!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!!!!

I am so grateful for Spence. He is the best dad in the whole world. Today is his first Fathers Day as a dad and it has made me think of how lucky I am. He is so good to both Sophie and I. He works so hard all day but still insists on getting up in the night with Sophie and taking her in the mornings to let me go to the gym. I love to watch him with Sophie. He looks like he is going to melt when she rests her little head on his shoulder and he looks broken hearted when she is sad. I always knew that he would be a great dad but since we have had Sophie my love for Spencer has grown more than I ever though possible! I seriously couldn't ask for a better husband. He makes me so happy!

Sophie has been getting solids now for a while and we get about half on her and the other half in her so as you can see she is eating a lot.

Hey Y'all!

We have finally taught Sophie how to wave!

So we finally went to see some history here in Philly. Tickets to go through Independance Hall were all sold out so we will have to do that later but it was cool to see the outside of the building and the liberty bell. We also got to take a picture in love park in front of the LOVE sign. It was a really fun day and of course we topped off the day at Pat's King of Steaks where the very first philly cheesesteak was made.

So we finally bought Sophie a jolly jumper and believe me I have LOVED it. I feel like I have gotten so much done in the last 2 days. I feel like I am neglecting her but she really loves it. She loves all the toys around it and she always loves to be standing so it is really great. I just put up a few pics of the last few days of her enjoying her new toy.

I just had to post some pics of last Sunday. It was so nice to have Spence home. After church we fed Sophie her rice cereal. It was Spencer's first time because he is always gone to work when I feed her and I have really only been giving it to her for a week. Anyway it was really fun for Spence to see how much she loves it. We couldn't spoon it in fast enough for her. We also gave her bananas for the first time which you can tell by the picture, she didn't love. In her defense, I tasted them and they were pretty gross.

Amanda & Tanner are going to kill me for putting this up. I just thought everyone would like to see what a cute little baby girl Watson makes. Amanda was up at my apartment and she wanted to put Watson to sleep but forgot a sleeper. Well that was an easy fix- we just put him in one of Sophies and well.. we just couldn't resist the bow.

Yesterday I put Sophie is her cute little cherries onesie that I love so much. I decided to try the black and white setting on my camera and I think that they turned out pretty cute. While she was napping she must have been having a bad dream because she woke up bawling and she usually always wakes up from her naps happy. Anyway Spencer picked her up and he was so happy because she was leaning her little head on his chest and she was so glad to be comforted by him. It was just so cute I had to take a picture of it.
